Nourish Skin Care

There are so many skincare product ranges out there and to be honest I do tend to stick to that one brand that I am used to. But me being me, I do love to try out new things and love showing you my readers the options we have out there when it comes to our skincare routine.

I will be honest, I had never heard of Nourish skin care before I wrote this post. I looked through their website and I noticed the difference between the products I buy regularly and their products right away.  The Nourish brand is completely focused on vegan and organic skincare. Their products are free from harmful chemicals, mineral oils and silicones. Instead they use all organic ingredients and natural extracts. Probably like a lot of you out there, I have never paid full attention to what is actually in my skincare products. With nourish I know exactly what is in there and its really good to know that they are all made to be the best for your skin and really give it that glow.

I was asked to test and review their Kale Enzymatic Exfoliating Cleanser – £16.50 50ml  This is a multi tasking treatment, you get 3 treatments in one product. Cleanser, facial and face-mask. I found this really exciting, I don’t get to test one I get to test all three.

1. Cleanser – I decided to use my Magnitone brush (£69.99 – magnitone.co.uk)  to test out the cleanser aspect of the cream. After using my Nivea cleanser with my Magnitone since I got it, I was excited and apprehensive to see the outcome. The cleanser is really good, the smell was a little strange to begin with. The scent made me think of the Vicks inhaler that you use when you get a blocked nose, but after using it a few times the scent becomes somewhat familiar and comforting. My skin was really clean, soft and felt good all day.

2. Revitalising Facial – This is a great feature, perfect when you have had that long day and need to relax. Use the cleanser scrub as a mask by rubbing it all over your face, remember and avoid the area around your eyes. Leave it on for 5 mins and use your toner or water to soften it, massage gently and then rinse with cold water. This one is perfect on the morning, when your eating your breakfast, drinking your tea. I used this before work and it really gives you a cute morning glow and it makes you feel awesome, ready to go!

3. Exfoliating Mask – Use this everyday in your skin care routine for that amazing ready to go skin. Rub onto dry skin for 2 mins and then rinse. Its pretty much the same directions that you get for all exfoliators. The outcome of this cleanser/exfoliator is far better than what I have used. It is so soft and so easy to apply, it leaves your skin smelling so fresh and clean. Like I have went and got a full body scrub at a a fancy spa.

Nourish skincare is such an eyeopener. I honestly wish I had paid more attention to my skin, and what I was using over the years. The results from using this are unbelievable, my skin has never looked or felt so good. The range is slightly dearer than other products in this category, but I have to say it is worth it. With Nourish, the ingredients are fresh, organic and really do leave your skin feeling good. You can easily change or add this into your skincare routine. After using this one product, I would love to try more from them. The end results from this one product is enough for me to change my skincare routine completely.

The next page will pop up with a blank bracelet or necklace and all you need to do is add your beads!

I was over the moon when they offered me a chance to go on and design myself my very own bracelet. Sticking to the bracelet and necklace per outfit, I thought what better inspiration than my outfit for my friends wedding thats in July. Unfortunately the neck is pretty high, so necklace was out the window pretty fast. But not to worry the arms are free so bracelet it is!

As you can see its a gorgeous baby pink/peach, so I decided to choose a large pink flower bead for the middle, mix in some pink pearls and some gold accents. I was so happy with my design and the entire time, I found myself just making up lots of different designs. If I have went to the shops I normally go to, I would have settled for something that didn’t completely go but I was happy with. With mink and stone you don’t need to settle. You can sit and change the colour, the pattern, the length, its truly an amazing experience.

Once the building part is over, the fun doesn’t stop, the company tweet your design and also send you a picture of it before it leaves. The delivery is super super quick I only waited a day for mine and when it came the quality was out of this world. Presented in its own velvet bag, branding the name of the company, the bracelet looked like a piece of luxury. Taking it out you can see the amount of dedication and work that has went into making it.

My first experience of Mink and Stone, has been nothing but the best. Miisa, who emailed me is a wonderful lady, very helpful and I am so grateful she allowed me to have this amazing experience.

Its safe to say that who we are is represented by what we wear, how we act and our outlook on life. We choose to wear the things we wear because of who we are. Its a statement we choose to make every day we wake up. Mink and Stone are just one of the companies out there that allow us to be free and create something that represents us. The real us.

The Magnitone Experience – Achieving That Summer Glow

My complexion has always caused me issues. One day I am fine and the next blotches and breakouts. I don’t think I have ever found anything that makes my skin look and feel great. I mean face-masks and exfoliation helps but the glow only lasts 2 days tops. I got my little Magnitone box out and thought I would read through the guide it gives us. Its actually really good, tells you everything you need to know technology wise but also a little guide on how to use it properly. I may sound like I am rambling, but I really want to give you all an insight before you buy. Best to know that it will work and its worth it (I can tell this will be 😉 ) So day 1 I have my Magnitone, and I have taken a snap shot of me (no make up!! argh) to record what the Magnitone actually does for your skin within 7 days.

Now that the scary shot is out of the way, we can start, so it says to use your cleanser or soap, I want to try both but I will go with my Nivea daily cleanser. Wet the brush head in warm water, rinse your face with warm water and then you can rub your cleanser onto your skin or put it on the brush, up to you. Place the brush on your forehead, the little booklet tells you to start there, as your first zone.Then the brush will guide you through your next two zones, beeping to tell you to move onto the next. Cool huh? Wash your brush head and repeat this process for 7 days.

Wow, I am so happy with my end result. After 7 days my skin looks and feels amazing! Even my make up goes on so much better and I have never ever got up before and been happy to be without some make up on but not now. Magnitone has restored all my self confidence and has made me feel like an all natural women, a proud one at that!

Saturday Pampering Session With Eve Lom

After a long week, I was ecstatic this morning to find this in the post. Since its Saturday and my other half is on a stag weekend, I thought I would treat myself to a pampering session.

Not actually knowing who this company was, I got the laptop out and did a simple google search. The first thing I noticed was that the basket total look like this £000.00, meaning I was in for some serious spending or a serious shock. After a look through, I found the product I got sent – 50ml for £35.00 and 100ml for £55.00, not as bad as I thought. Best thing to do –  put it to the test!

Like all face-masks this was great fun!! 20 minutes in a relaxing bath, face-mask on at 9am is my ideal weekend! The mask can be used 2-3 times a week or as an emergency stress mask. Apply to your skin (avoiding your eye area), leave it on for 20 minutes, then using a towel wipe the mask off and clean your face with some cold water.

As I lay in my bath, face-mask and all I was thinking about the price of the face-mask and if it was worth it. Here is my conclusion, after researching the brand, it seems to be in high demand, a luxury brand and award winning. With that said £35.00 for 50ml, I received a 5ml sample, which did one mask and I still had some left over. Meaning that you would get 10 masks or more from the 50ml and it would cost £3.50 for each mask. Considering this is a luxury brand, and the results of my mask this morning, I would say Eve Lom rescue mask is an investment!

The mask leaves your skin feeling clean, fresh and airbrushed! I will definitely be putting my pennies by to invest in a full bottle!

Tattoo Elegance

I have always wanted a tattoo, but never one that would stay longer than a week. Like trends my love of tattoos, or hairstyles or anything beauty related tends to come and go. So when I was given the opportunity to try this seasons hot new trend – metallic tattoos, I was all for it. I honestly thought like before I would grow bored of these but boy was wrong!

When I was little the trend was temporary tattoos, of course back then it came with gum and was always a butterfly, the trend is back but this time it’s a little more elegant.

Thanks to companies like Tesora London and Lyla Loves, we girlies can have the hottest trend sent right to our door and for as little as £1.00!

I couldn’t wait to get started, I had no idea where to put them, I was so excited! I decided to spread my little test and review over a few weeks so I can use them more lol

The application for both were so easy. All you need to do is choose your tattoo(s), cut it out, peel back the clear covering and place it on your skin. Grab a towel, wet the end and press onto the tattoo for 30 – 50 seconds and voila! It was so easy and after one you just cant wait to try another. The tattoos last around 3-5 days before they start to fade. Which personally I think is just the perfect amount of time, especially for those heading to festivals or parties this summer.

I had so much fun with these tattoos, they are so easy to apply and are super cute! I think instead of getting a real tattoo I will buy one of each pack from both these companies and just have a new one every 3 days!

Miracle Gel!

How many ladies out there suffer that horrible effect you get when you have a long night? No not a hangover. I am talking about those little dark lines under our eyes that just scream “I HAVEN’T SLEPT!”

Well what if I told you that I have found a miracle gel that will take them away and double up as an eye make-up remover?

A Sunday kinda app… My app of the week!

The week has gone so fast, we are at Sunday and most will be heading back to work 😦

But not to fear Amie is here lol I have a new and exciting app to share with you, one that all you bloggers will love!

Introducing “Bamboo Paper”, my totally amazing app of the week!

Let me tell you why it has made its way to the top of my list 🙂

When I first saw Bamboo Paper, I thought could it possibly be a drawing app, or maybe one of those apps you download content from online and place in little scrap books. Well I was wrong, and I am glad I was! 🙂

Bamboo Paper is actually your very own virtual notebook. You can choose your colour, name your notebook and you can even choose what paper you would like in your notebook!

Once you open your notebook the possibilities are endless. I use my app for blogging, I add in my pictures I have taken for my post, then scribble some notes down.

I also love to use it when I am out and about. I can take photos of anything that inspires me, stick it in my notebook, write down what I was thinking about and what I want to write. Its honestly amazing for people like me who tend to think of something and then completely forget an hour later lol Along with my Busy B stationery, this app is making my blogging life a whole lot easier!

Fragrance Friday!

It is Friday!

Yipp the weekend is here and I am going to share with you my Friday fragrance. The one everyone should be wearing, whether it be a hot date, lunch with the girls or a day at the beach. This perfume is perfect for every occasion!

Hugo Boss Femme £35.00

With base notes of amber and top notes of black currant Hugo Boss Femme, is super girly and fun. Although it was released back in 2006, this is still my ultimate go to perfume. Hugo Boss can never go wrong in my eyes.
