DIY Wedding Gift/ Extra Wedding Gift

Who else is sick of giving the usual gift at a wedding? Money, spoons, photo frames?

Well my partner and I gave our best friends money, some in English and some for their honeymoon in Bali but also wanted to get them a little something they could keep and look back on. Our friend circle is quite big and they didn’t really get a chance to sit with us much, seeing as it was their day and they were dancing all night. So we took lots of pictures and I have went around and gathered them all up, got them printed and came up with in my eyes the best wedding present ever!

So once you have all your photos, you need to get a scrapbook, I got this cream one for £8.00 on Amazon, its really good perfect size and its blank so plenty of room for your special touches. You will also need some scrap book extras, like stickers, ribbon, flowers, anything you want really. You don’t want too much and you don’t want something that is bulky, otherwise your book wont close. DSCN2771

I got some crystal letters, silver wedding stickers, paper flowers (same colour as her bridesmaids) and I also got some wooden hearts, I actually got them from her wedding so I thought that would be a cute touch.  I got my scrapbook goodies from The Range, all of these were only £1.00 each.

Arrange your photos and stickers out first making sure that you are happy before you stick them down. Once you do a couple of pages you get into the swing of things and might not need to arrange and just let your creativity flow. I really enjoyed making this book and I think this is such a cute and unique extra little gift that you give the person. I am actually going to go around and get our friends to write a few words next to their picture, just as a little extra.

The book only costs £15 to make including the pictures being printed and I think with yourself making it, it really makes it special. So why not try something different and make your wedding gift this year, and if you are stuck for a wedding to go to, you can even try making one for another special occasion.

Happy Crafting Guys!

Tattoo Elegance

I have always wanted a tattoo, but never one that would stay longer than a week. Like trends my love of tattoos, or hairstyles or anything beauty related tends to come and go. So when I was given the opportunity to try this seasons hot new trend – metallic tattoos, I was all for it. I honestly thought like before I would grow bored of these but boy was wrong!

When I was little the trend was temporary tattoos, of course back then it came with gum and was always a butterfly, the trend is back but this time it’s a little more elegant.

Thanks to companies like Tesora London and Lyla Loves, we girlies can have the hottest trend sent right to our door and for as little as £1.00!

I couldn’t wait to get started, I had no idea where to put them, I was so excited! I decided to spread my little test and review over a few weeks so I can use them more lol

The application for both were so easy. All you need to do is choose your tattoo(s), cut it out, peel back the clear covering and place it on your skin. Grab a towel, wet the end and press onto the tattoo for 30 – 50 seconds and voila! It was so easy and after one you just cant wait to try another. The tattoos last around 3-5 days before they start to fade. Which personally I think is just the perfect amount of time, especially for those heading to festivals or parties this summer.

I had so much fun with these tattoos, they are so easy to apply and are super cute! I think instead of getting a real tattoo I will buy one of each pack from both these companies and just have a new one every 3 days!

Hey you GUYS

How many of you cleanse and moisturise?

How many of you know that if you add a toner in between, it can make your skin look 10x better?

Me neither. I always head for my daily beauty routine of washing, moisturising and then make up! I never knew my skin would look so amazing by just adding a toner.

There is thousands of toner out there all offering the same outcome, the only difference between them is their fancy bottles and their purse smashing price tags.

So how do we know which one to choose?

Well we don’t. It’s that simple. We have to try things to know what works for us, but I have come across a toner that I think will work for most if not a lot of people out there.

I recently received a bottle of toner from Instanatural, a leading skin care brand with a vision to provide safe, effective and affordable skin care products. They focus on using premium organic and natural ingredients in their formulations without the use of harmful alcohols and chemicals.  I honestly didn’t think it would work, imagine my surprise when I sprayed a small amount onto my hand and not having any reactions but rather a small smooth portion of skin. After that I couldn’t wait to get started and I ended up doing some research on toners.  Here is what I found out:

Toners are used as a prep for moisturising and serums. It rejuvenates and refreshes our skin, balancing out our skin pH as well as removing dead skin cells.

Now lets get down to business 🙂

How to use Instanatural toner –

First step is to cleanse your skin, you can use a mild face wash or your favourite cleanser. Dry your face by using a dry clean towel, don’t rub your face just gently pat your face dry. Once you are all dry, spray your entire face and neck with Instanatural facial toner. It will feel a little strange spraying liquid all over your face lol But actually it can be quite refreshing once your used to it. The spray dries in naturally but you can use a cotton pad or ball to dry it if necessary.

The spray can be used daily as needed and under makeup. Finish the routine by using your favourite moisturiser. I personally love Nivea soft face cream.

My thoughts –

After a week of using Instanatural every day, I can honestly say I am so glad I found this product and very sad I never found it before now. My skin feels incredible and walking into family events or social gatherings feels amazing when I have so many people asking if I have been on holiday! My skin is glowing and as cheesy as it sounds my inner self is better for it to, I feel fantastic!

Where can I get this magical stuff? –

Instanatural is available online at instanatural.com for only $17.49, you can also find their range of hair products, eye care and face masks. If you live in the UK you will need to head to Amazon UK to purchase Instanatural, it has super fast delivery and is currently on sale for only £20.95!

The company asked for my honest and unbiased opinion on their product. This post is my honest and unbiased opinion, I truly loved reviewing this product and have now found one of my June favourites already!

Danni Saw This…

Hey you guys!

Wow May went so quickly!

I learned so much in this month, met new people, found some awesome new brands and even got my self into an HNC course in Travel and Tourism!

One of the awesome businesses I came across this month was ‘Danni Saw This’. Danni is a Graphic Designer by day and a Iphoneographer on the side. Her photographs are incredible, her passion for art and architecture really comes through in her work. She is one hell of a lady and she is so sweet! She even sent me a gorgeous print of one of her photographs!

First impressions are everything when it comes to the delivery of a product from a business and ‘Danni Saw This’ hit the nail on the head! I was so excited when I got my photograph all wrapped up in bright paper, tied with string and with her amazing compliments card. I was so sad when I had to rip it open lol.

My excitement shot through the roof when I got the wrapper of, my very own gorgeous dandelion ruffle photograph! I have went straight onto Ebay and ordered a white ikea box frame, I think it will go really well with it. The quality of the print is amazing, the detail of the photograph is breath taking, her work is out of this world and there is so much more than just this one photo, check out more below 🙂

What made you start your business?

My friends kept telling me to!

I always post my photos on my Facebook page and whenever I would see my friends they would ask if had thought about selling them, to which I would always reply ‘no, I don’t think anyone would buy them.’ Eventually I decided to bite the bullet and open my own little Folksy shop, which for me was the best outlet as they support British artists and designers.

Tell us about Danni Saw This

Danni Saw This is my blog that celebrates life’s little quirks and random moments, along with a few design pieces thrown into the mix. I’m a graphic designer by day and a photographer (or should that be iphoneographer!) on the side.

Danni Saw This has evolved from a photography challenge I set myself nearly five years ago, titled ‘I Saw This and Thought…’ where I challenge myself to take a photograph everyday and post the results on social media. I then took my idea further and created my blog to share my photos and other quirky finds with people. I love finding something unusual and sharing it!

What is your favourite thing to photograph?

It has to be architecture and flowers. My Instagram feed is always filled with flowers no matter what time of year it is!

What advice would you give someone else wanting to start a business?

For someone who is starting out small like myself, I would say just go for it. It took me a long time to pluck up the courage to do it and I’m glad I did. I would also say be patient, it may take a while to establish your business and make your first sale, but when you do, that feeling of achievement is brilliant. Be confident to market your products without worrying! I still worry that if I market my products I’m annoying people, to which I should know better as I work in marketing! Remember there is a fine line between promoting well and becoming annoying and losing customers and/or followers. Finally have fun, you never know where your business may go, it’s an exciting adventure!

All of Dannis photographs are only £8.00 each! I cannot recommend her enough!

Check out her amazing blog here – www.dannisawthis.co.uk
